PolyU is committed to providing a campus environment that is nurturing and inclusive. To support this direction, SAO does not only provide a wide array of quality services and programmes for students with special educational needs (SEN), but also provides training and support to empower fellow staff to jointly provide an equitable learning environment for these students.

Training and support

  • Training workshops:
  • Whole-day Training Workshops on Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
         Key content of the workshops is as follows:

    - Respective features of each special educational need (SEN) type and the learning needs of students with SEN
    - Intervention and treatment available for these SEN types
    - Understand the strategies and accommodations for students with SEN

    Date: 14 May 2026 (Thursday)
    Time: 9.00 am to 5.30 pm (lunch break: 12.30pm – 2.00pm)
    Venue: BC202

    This training workshop will be conducted face-to-face in English. The facilitator would be Mr Kenneth Chow, registered Educational Psychologist.

    To register, please complete this e-form on or before 6 May 2026 (Wednesday). First-come-first-served. A confirmation email will be sent to successful participants in due course. Should you require any special support for joining this workshop, please indicate in the e-form by the aforementioned deadline.
