The Careers and Placement Section (CPS), Student Affairs Office (SAO) aims to facilitate students' acquisition of required work competencies through the provision of internship opportunities, mentorship programmes, and career development workshops.

"INSPIRE" Mentorship Programme
The “INSPIRE” Mentorship Programme aims to enhance students’ holistic education experience and facilitate their personal, academic, and professional development through a robust network of role models and prominent leaders of the PolyU community.

WIE Programmes
PolyU is the first tertiary institution in Hong Kong to include a mandatory Work-Integrated Education (WIE) component into the undergraduate curriculum, providing students with work-based learning experiences that facilitate students’ all-round development and enhance their professional competencies. In coordination with Faculties/Schools, CPS, SAO strives to offer various support for students to fulfil the WIE requirement.

Career Support for Students with SEN
CPS, SAO has launched the Employability Enhancement Programme for enhancing the accessibility of students with SEN to learning experience and employment services, as well as facilitating their employment thanks to the support from community partners and employers.

Recruitment Talks
CPS, SAO organises recruitment talks for PolyU students, during which they could meet potential employers, explore job opportunities, and build network.

Career Advising
In this 45-minute one-to-one consultation session, Career Advisors provide you with professional advice on career planning, job-search skills, and interview preparation.

Training workshops
Various career training workshops are offered to assist final-year students in starting their career.
