Registration & Booking
Yes, online registration in advance is required. You should register through the University’s official registration platform at least 5 working days before the scheduled tour date.
The tours are open to the public. However, there are some conditions:
- Participants should age 6 or above.
- Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above.
- Participants must be physically capable of completing a 1.5-hour walking tour. Please evaluate your physical condition before registering.
If you cannot find the confirmation email in your mailbox, you may:
- Check your SPAM / JUNK folder.
- Search for info.campustour@polyu.edu.hk in your mailbox, which is the sender of the confirmation email.
To ensure successful delivery of future messages, we recommend adding “info.campustour@polyu.edu.hk” to your email contacts.
If you are using Gmail, please drag the confirmation email into your Primary inbox to prevent Gmail from mistakenly marking it as SPAM in the future.
If you still cannot find the confirmation email, please contact us at info.campustour@polyu.edu.hk and provide the following information:
- Full name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
- Payment method (please attach any transaction records if available)
If you arrive late or fail to show up at the designated time, your booking will be treated as a no-show. In such cases, any fees paid are non-refundable.
Fees and Deposit
The deposit will be refunded if:
The University cancels the tour due to unexpected circumstances, such as bad weather.
Before the Tour
Each guided tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
The tours are led by our trained student docents, who will share their experiences and insights into university life.
Tours are available in Cantonese, English, and Putonghua. You can select your preferred language when submitting your booking request, subject to tour availability.
The maximum capacity is 30 participants per group.
Parking facilities on campus are reserved primarily for university staff and students. Visitors are highly encouraged to use nearby off-campus parking facilities. For visitors with disabilities who require on-campus parking, please indicate your needs on the registration form so that special arrangements can be made (subject to availability).
Service animals assisting visitors with disabilities are welcome. Please indicate any accommodation requests when submitting your registration form. Other pets are not permitted on campus.
We are sorry that the registration is non-transferable.
On the Day of Your Visit
Details of the meeting location will be included in your confirmation email. Please be punctual and arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time for verification and check-in. Tours begin promptly, and latecomers may not be admitted.
Visitors must present the following documents for both campus access and tour check-in.:
- The official confirmation email
- A valid photo ID matching the registration information
Visitors may explore publicly accessible areas of the campus at their own discretion after the tour. Access to restricted buildings or facilities is subject to the University’s access rules.
Storage facilities are not available on campus. Visitors are advised not to bring luggage or bulky items to the tour.
Yes, if you require special support, please indicate this on the registration form, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Photography in outdoor public areas is generally permitted. However, recording or filming inside certain facilities may be restricted for privacy, safety, or operational reasons. Please respect the privacy of others and refrain from filming or photographing individuals without permission. Visitors must follow all instructions given by staff and docents at all times.
No. The PolyU campus is a designated smoke-free campus. Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited in all indoor and outdoor areas.
