Student Docent Programme

 

(This programme is open exclusively to PolyU full-time students.)

As a Student Docent, you will be an ambassador of PolyU, sharing our history, achievements and exciting new developments in research and innovation with visitors. You will play an important role in shaping visitors’ first impressions of our university while showcasing the spirit and excellence of our community.

 

Through this programme, you will:

• Receive remuneration as a Student Assistant
• Gain in-depth knowledge of PolyU’s history, achievements and latest developments
• Strengthen your public speaking, interpersonal, and social skills through structured training
• Train alongside fellow student docents, collaborate as a team, and build meaningful friendships
• Build connection with our distinguished guests
• Be considered for the title of Most Outstanding and Long-Serving Student Docent Award
• Outstanding docents may receive scholarship recognition and other benefits, including but not limited to overseas cultural exchange tour, etc.
• Have your service acknowledged through Student Affairs Office’s Co-Curricular Transcript
• Gain an experience that is a valuable addition to your CV, future scholarship and career applications

 

 

 

 

This is more than a part-time role - serving as a docent allows you to engage with diverse visitors, grow in confidence, and stand our as a student leader within the PolyU community.
