Mandatory Orientation for SEN students
You are invited to join an Orientation Session for SEN students. The session will provide you with information about SEN services available at PolyU, an opportunity to meet the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Caring Team and fellow students.
Details are as follows:

Date: 2 September 2026 (Wednesday)
Time: 12.30 – 13.30
Venue: S212, Communal Building

Date: 10 September 2026 (Thursday)
Time: 12.30 – 13.30
Venue: S212, Communal Building
Note: It is mandatory to join either one session.
Remarks:

Career Support
SAO provides career support to students with SEN. Through personalised career advising with the use of various assessment tools and mock interviews, we offer tailored guidance and prepare students to confidently navigate the job market, as well as assist them in identifying their strengths and interests, paving the way for career success.

Accessible Facilities
- Library (24-hour Study Centre on 1/F North Wing): Computer workstation for students with all types of SEN.
- Library (Room L401a): A special equipment room equipped with computers and assistive aids for students with all types of SEN. (You would receive our email when the access is ready for you.)
- Communal Building (Room S212)*: Computer workstation for students with all types of SEN during examination period. (Please contact us if you need to use the room.)
- Room R405: A room mainly for students with physical impairment, with facilities e.g. adjustable beds, height adjustable tables, electric patient lifter, and computer workstations. (Please contact us if you need to use the room.)

Scholarships and Funding

Caring Hub (also known as Diversity Resource Centre)
It is an inclusion hub for students, with various resources dedicated to enhancing understanding and acceptance. All students are welcome! For details, please click here.
“Limitless” - Inclusion Awareness Campaign
The campaign consists of a series of activities to foster better understanding about the challenges faced by persons with disabilities as well as students with SEN, to raise disability and diversity awareness on campus. (Please stay tuned for further updates)
