Welcome to PolyU! As you begin your university journey, joining student-led orientation activities is a fantastic way to connect with peers and dive into campus life. Look for our Q-mark icon to identify activities approved by PolyU’s Hosting Units (faculties, schools, or departments), which are covered by the University’s group personal accident insurance. Please note that unauthorised student-led activities are not covered by this insurance.

Join Us at the Welcome Roadshow!
Visit our Welcome Roadshow from 12–14 August 2026 at Shaw Sports Complex, where you’ll find booths showcasing all authorised student-led orientation activities run by student organisations affiliated under faculties, schools and academic departments. Our student leaders will be there to warmly welcome you and answer any questions!
- Verify Activities: Always check the credibility of organisers and review the details, terms, and conditions of any activity before enrolling.
- Beware of Unauthorised Activities: Avoid activities without the Q-mark icon or those promoted through unofficial communication channels (e.g. groups at the MTR Hung Hom Station).
- Consult Others: Seek advice from friends, family, mentors, or faculty before signing up for external programmes.

If you are unsure about an activity or need to verify its legitimacy, use this self-help checklist:
- Is the Q-mark icon displayed in the activity promotion?
- Is the organiser an official student association (check the directory here)?
- Is the activity included in the NSO authorised list?
