From time to time, there are scholarships open for application by students or, the candidates of which are nominated by Dean/Head of faculties or academic departments. Please click here for the schedule of inviting application/nomination for details.

The following scholarships are open for application. Unless otherwise specified, the applicants must be currently pursuing a full-time undergraduate programme leading to PolyU award (i.e. HKCC, SPEED, PolyU inbound exchange students are not eligible). Kindly note that the Donors/PolyU reserve(s) the right to accept/decline any application or withdraw the scholarship(s) at any time (e.g. when there is no deserving candidate, in case of unforeseen circumstance, etc.). In case of any dispute/disagreement, the decision of the Donors/PolyU shall be final.

Please read the information sheet of individual scholarship carefully before submitting the application form (except those online applications and those scholarships which form collection venue is not Student Affairs Office) to the specified collection box in Student Affairs Office (Room QT308). Each applicant is expected to receive an email notifier acknowledging their applications from Student Affairs Office within 10 working days from the deadline of application.

HKSAR Government Scholarship 2020/21
(for government-funded non-first-year HD students)
Deadline extended: 23:59, 5 October 2020 (Monday)


  • Around $300,000 with individual scholarship value ranging $20,000 - $30,000 is available.
  • To current HD students in the academic year 2020/21 who were admitted into a PolyU full-time government-funded HD programme in or before 2019/20. (HD students in 2019/20 who were admitted into a PolyU degree programme in 2020/21 are not eligible.)
  • The awardees should have
    • academic excellence (with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 by the end of 2019/20);
    • attained a minimum of 24 credits (including the transferred credits) in 2019/20;
    • achievement/ involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or community services, demonstrated leadership and good communication skills in the past two academic years
