Event Highlights

The PolyU High Table Dinner cum Dean of Students Talk Series 2025/26 was held on April 13. Our evening began with a warm welcome address by Prof. Jin-Guang Teng, encouraging students to embrace lifelong learning and stay open-minded in a world that’s constantly evolving.

This year’s Dean of Students Talk Series featured Prof. Richard Leung Tim-chiu (PolyU University Fellowship, 2025), who delivered his inspiring talk, “Lifelong Learning and Mind, in a World of Uncertainty.” Based on his more-than-three-decade career in global finance, he shared how curiosity, resilience, and adaptability can guide us through life’s stages—and why maintaining an open, peaceful mind matters most when things feel uncertain.

Following his sharing, Prof. Leung engaged in an interactive dialogue with three outstanding students, exploring lifelong learning, career exploration, and personal growth.

The night was made even more memorable by the classical music performance by the PolyU Orchestra, and a high-energy dance performance by six members of the School of Hip Hop of Youth Outreach—invited by Prof. Leung, Honorary Consultant of Youth Outreach.

Together, we came together as a global community — bringing together around 210 students from various departments in PolyU, representing over 29 countries and regions for an unforgettable night of dialogue, inspiration, and connection.
