Following the President's Welcome on 28 August 2026, the Orientation Showcase held on 1 September 2026 at the Shaw Sports Complex infused the start of the new academic year with incredible energy.
Hosting 47 booths organised by various administrative units and student groups, the event welcomed over 3,400 new students. The showcase provided a comprehensive overview of the University's essential support services and vibrant extracurricular life. By exploring campus resources and connecting with staff and senior students, our freshmen are now well-prepared to embark on their university journey.
We were delighted to have Prof. Jin-Guang Teng, President of PolyU, Prof. Ben Young, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs), Prof. Horace Mui, Dean of Students, together with the management team of the Student Affairs Office, visited the booths and interacted warmly with students and booth organisers. They encouraged our new students to make the most of every enriching opportunity at PolyU and embrace a truly fulfilling university experience.
