  • Workshops
    You are cordially invited to join the following face-to-face training workshops conducted by Mr Kenneth Chow, an Educational Psychologist. These training workshops provide you with opportunities to know more/ enhance your executive functioning skills, exam & study skills and time management skills. Details are as follows:

    Workshop 1: Executive functioning skills

    Date: 10 September 2025 (Wednesday)
    Time: 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm
    Venue: R503
    Content:
    1. To understand what executive functioning (EF) is
    2. To understand how EF affects daily lives and academic study
    3. To learn how to independently create and follow a daily schedule or task list
    4. To learn how to prioritise tasks and break them down into smaller steps
    5. To learn how to plan ahead and meet goals
    6. To learn how to improve self-control and stay focused despite distractions    

    Workshop 2: Exam & study skills
    Date: 17 September 2025 (Wednesday)  
    Time: 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm
    Venue: R503
    Content:
    1. To learn how memory is retained and recalled
    2. To learn how to prepare and arrange exam & study time as well as goal setting
    3. To learn how to study smarter and stay away from distractions
    4. To learn the tips on preparing exams

    Workshop 3: Time management
    Date: 14 October 2025 (Tuesday)  
    Time: 2.30 pm – 4.30 pm
    Venue: S208
    Content:  
    1. To develop your time management skills
    2. To understand the major cause of procrastination
    3. To learn how to kickstart working when you procrastinate
    4. To learn to employ effective strategies to improve priorisation and self-control

    These training workshops would be conducted in English (may be changed to Cantonese subject to the agreement of participants).

    If you are interested in joining these training workshops, please complete this
    e-form on or before 5 September 2025 (Friday). A confirmation email will be sent to successful participants in due course. Participants will receive a souvenir upon completion of each training workshop. Should you require any special support for these training workshops, please indicate in the e-form by the aforementioned deadline.

Due academic accommodation, such as:

  • Special examination arrangement
  • Alternative assessment arrangement
  • Barrier-free reading materials

What Facilities and Resources Are Available for SEN Students?

Accessible Facilities

  • Library (24-hour Study Centre on 1/F North Wing): Computer workstation for students with all types of SEN.
  • Library (Room L401a): A special equipment room equipped with computers and assistive aids for students with all types of SEN. (You would receive our email when the access is ready for you.)
  • Communal Building (Room S212): Computer workstation for students with all types of SEN during examination period. (Please contact us if you need to use the room.)
  • Room R405: A room mainly for students with physical impairment, with facilities e.g. adjustable beds, height adjustable tables, electric patient lifter, and computer workstations. (Please contact us if you need to use the room.)
  • Office pod (At 2/F, Communal Building, on the opposite side of the Diversity Resource Centre): A venue for your study, group discussion etc. (Please contact us if you need to use so.)

Scholarships and Funding

Eligible students can apply for different scholarships and funding e.g. additional academic expenses grant for students with SEN. For more details, please click here and watch out for our email.

 

How Do We Enhance Inclusion Awareness on Campus and Encourage Integration?

Diversity Resource Centre
It is an inclusion hub for students, with various resources dedicated to enhancing understanding and acceptance. All students are welcome! For details, please click

“Limitless” - Inclusion Awareness Campaign

The campaign consists of a series of activities to foster better understanding about the challenges faced by persons with disabilities as well as students with SEN, to raise disability and diversity awareness on campus. For more information, please click here.
