On 25 November, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) hosted a flag-raising ceremony to mark its 88th anniversary. The event was officiated by Mr SONG Yipin, the Deputy Director of the Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR. PolyU President, Prof. Jin-Guang TENG, was joined by Council and Court members, other University senior management, University Fellows, Outstanding Alumni, members of the PolyU Foundation, and more than 700 guests, staff, students, and alumni.
The ceremony featured the PolyU Student Flag-Raising Team, which includes 24 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The team engaged in extensive rehearsals and preparations leading up to the event. Their attention to detail contributed to the smooth execution of the ceremony, promoting a sense of unity among attendees and reflecting PolyU’s commitment to its history and community.
