The Counselling and Wellness Section (CWS) of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) has prepared various psychological wellness workshops for you to strengthen your intra-personal and inter-personal growth.

  • Introduction to MBTI theory and the four dichotomies (E/I, S/N, T/F, J/P)
  • Guided interpretation of individual Chinese-language MBTI assessment results
  • Self-reflection and small-group sharing on personal type characteristics

Session 2: Team Application Lab

 

  • Analysis of how different types approach group tasks, communication, and decision-making
  • Interactive team simulation exercises to experience type dynamics in real-time
  • Developing actionable strategies for "type-aware" and effective collaboration in future projects

 

Remarks:

Mandatory Attendance Policy: Students must commit to attending both sessions to ensure learning integrity and group cohesion

Content:

  • Mindful breathing, Mindful movement
  • Compassionate body scan, sitting meditation
  • Mindful stretching
  • Loving-kindness meditation
  • Exercise, sharing, reflection and feedback.

Purpose:

  • Multiple studies have confirmed that consistent mindfulness practice offers a wide range of benefits. It can improve sleep quality, enhance concentration and memory, and relieve stress, depression, anxiety, physical pain, and more.
     

Remarks:

  1. Free of charge for all PolyU students (course valued at approximately HK$4,000 per person in external agencies within the HK community)

     

  2. Each participant will receive a preliminary phone assessment to confirm suitability for the group before it begins.

  3. A certificate will be issued to those participants who have achieved 80% attendance in the course.

Important notes:  

  1. Students on the waiting list will be notified of successful enrolment when vacancies are available.
  2. Workshops with enrolment number below 10 will be cancelled.
  3. Each workshop has a limited number of spots available, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, taking your priority into account.
  4. Please reply to the confirmation email to secure your workshop place. Failure to respond will result in your quota being offered to other students.
  5. Participants with confirmed bookings are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Failure to do so may result in their spot being released to walk-in attendees.
  6. If you would like to deregister from a workshop after the registration period, please send us an email at least 1 working day prior to the commencement of the workshop. For those who fail to attend the workshop without prior notice, you will NOT be eligible to enroll in other workshops in that semester.

  8. Arrangements During Bad Weather: We follow the University’s guidelines on class arrangements during bad weather.
