Cross-Strait Four-Regions Softball Exchange Competition
Nurturing national pride and broadening mainland experience, nine students from PolyU SAO Red Castle Softball Club attended the 2025 Cross-Strait Four-Regions University Students Slow Pitch Softball Exchange Competition (2025兩岸四地大學生慢投壘球交流賽) held at Pingtan Softball Stadium, Fujian from 24 to 27 Oct 2025. Among the 38 softball teams with 800 players from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China, our softball club members interacted with contestants both physically and culturally.
This four-day event was co-organised by China Youth Daily (中國青年報社) and Chinese Softball Association (中國壘球協會), engaging a wide range of youth groups to exchange sports skills and to build up friendship. Our students were blessed to have the chance to exchange skills and techniques with softball teams from Xiamen University, Nanjing Tech University, etc. The cross-strait four-regions sports exchange provided great experience for our students to learn from their counterparts outside Hong Kong. The competition aside, our students also have the chance to learn about the cultural history of Pingtan through all-rounded visits and exhibition.
