Congratulations to our PolyU students for sweeping both the Champion and 1st Runner-up awards at the "44th Hong Kong Film Awards Student Poster Design Competition"!
Champion: Fung Yan Yi Yannie (Year 4, Design)
Inspired by the song “Fan Xing” (凡星) , Yannie’s design cleverly merges the ephemeral beauty of fireworks with the blooming of a flower. It symbolises that everyone is capable of shining in their own unique way, like countless sparks illuminating the sky.
1st Runner-up: Liu Pui Ting Betty (Year 4, Design)
Set against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour’s night view, Betty’s work depicts countless stars converging into fireworks about to burst forth from the hands of the Golden Statue goddess. This imagery symbolises the burgeoning creative energy of Hong Kong’s new generation of filmmakers, poised to flourish.
Two artworks, two perspectives, yet both carrying the same passion for Hong Kong cinema. Congratulations again to our students for injecting a fresh wave of creative energy into this prestigious event!
