The 3-day Welcome Roadshow drawn an impressive crowd of close to 1,700 enthusiastic freshmen eager to kick off their engaging journey on the day getting their PolyU student cards in mid-August 2025. This lively occasion showcased the strength and diversity of the vibrant community, featuring an amazing lineup of 27 student organisations from different Faculties, Schools, and Departments. Each group set up captivating booths, switching the VA venue into a buzzing hub of warm welcomes and exciting opportunities for the newcomers to explore.
The Roadshow offered freshmen a unique platform to connect with current students who were warmly on hand, brimming with excitement to share a wealth of practical tips and insider knowledge. From navigating campus life to excelling academically, the seniors provided invaluable guidance, fostering a sense of camaraderie from the very first encounter. Stopping by the booths run by their faculty and department student associations, freshmen dived into all the endless details about a full array of student-led orientation activities – each thoughtfully designed to make their first days on campus extra fulfilling and fun. This year, the administration of university-authorised orientation is certified with a cute icon, helping every newcomer made well-informed choices, laying a solid foundation for a safe and healthy beginning of the university adventure.
