28 Mar 2024

Event Highlights

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) held the first President's Sharing Session with Students of the 2023/24 academic year on 28 March, 2024, demonstrating the University's commitment to continuous communication and engagement with students. Over 30 students actively participated in the session, which provided a platform for exchanging views and raising questions directly to the Central Management Team (CMT).

The session commenced with a comprehensive presentation by President Teng, who shared the latest updates on PolyU's developments and initiatives. President Teng emphasised the University's dedication to providing a holistic and supportive learning environment for all students.

The Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) Prof. Ben Young then took the stage to elaborate on the diverse range of student support and services offered by PolyU.  He encouraged students to utilize these services to enhance their university experience and achieve their academic and personal goals.

The highlight of the session was an engaging Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to directly address their concerns and questions to the CMT members. Topics raised included campus access and facilities, non-local student support, and study-related issues. The CMT members listened attentively and provided thoughtful responses, demonstrating their commitment to understanding and addressing students' needs.

The President's Sharing Session served as a valuable platform for the CMT to engage with students and gain insights into their experiences and challenges. By fostering open dialogue and actively addressing student concerns, PolyU reaffirms its commitment to building an inclusive university community.
