Academic Progress Awards for students with special educational needs
New awards in the academic year 2025/26:
- Kwan Kin Sang Inclusive Education Academic Progress Award (1 award)
- Lau Ka Mei Inclusive Education Academic Progress Award (1 award)
- Liu Hao Tsing Education Foundation Inclusive Education Academic Progress Award (5 awards)
Purpose
- To recognise students who have made significant improvement in their academic performance

To encourage continued growth and support students’ learning journeys
Value of Award
- An award of $10,000 for each awardee
Eligibility and Key Selection Criteria
- All full-time undergraduate students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who declared SEN to SAO in 2024/25
- Both local and non-local students
- Non first-year students
- The Awards shall be awarded to eligible applicants who show the largest improvement in Cumulative GPA in Semester One of the 2025/26 academic year as compared to that of the 2024/25 academic year. Shortlisted students will be required to attend a brief interview as part of the selection process. In cases where candidates demonstrate equal improvement in CGPA, priority will be given to students with financial needs and those with active participation in SEN Caring Team activities.
Application Method
Please submit the e-form together with:
1) academic transcript (with 2025/26 semester 1 assessment results shown);
2) your self-statement outlining the progresses that have been achieved; and
3) any other necessary supporting documents
on or before 31 January 2026.
