Starry Sky in Hong Kong
香港的星空
This course aims to let students understand the starry sky observation in Hong Kong, with real photos taken mainly in Yuen Long. The course will also introduce seasonal constellations, the milky way and others.
這個課程旨在令學生了解香港的星空觀察，並以大部份從元朗拍攝的真實相片輔助，課程亦會介紹季節性星座，銀河, 行星和其他。
Purpose:
- Starry sky observation in Hong Kong 香港的星空觀察
- Identify seasonal constellations 辨認季節性星群
- Identify the milky way, planets, comets and meteors 辨認銀河, 行星, 彗星, 流星雨
- Understand weather and atmospheric optical phenomena 認識天氣和大氣光學現象

Mr Matthew Chin Matthew Chin is an IT Analyst, he likes photography with his digital single-lens reflex cameras for nature and scenery. He started star shooting from 2011 in Yuen Long and nearby, including starry sky, planets, comets, meteors, and star, sun, moon trails. 導師本身是資訊科技從業員，是業餘拍攝愛好者，他初期的數碼單反用於生態和風景類別拍攝，於2011年首次接觸本港星空觀賞，也常於元朗居所附近嘗試拍攝星空，行星、彗星和星流跡的照片。 |
