The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is co-organizing a workshop on a Photoacoustic Multimodal Imaging platform with BIO-LING Company and G-Cell Technology.
Photoacoustic (PA) Multimodal Imaging is a hybrid biomedical technique that combines the high-contrast sensitivity of optical imaging with the deep tissue penetration and high spatial resolution of ultrasound. This advanced system allows PA excitation in the Near-Infrared (NIR) spectrum at 1064 nm, breaking traditional imaging limits which are typically restricted to wavelengths ranging from 680 nm to 970 nm. Based on laser-excited ultrasound signals, this platform provides high-resolution imaging capabilities at great depths, making it suitable for research on various organs and systems, such as cardiovascular, nervous, and lymphatic systems, as well as skin, musculoskeletal systems, tumors, and developmental biology.
The details of the lecture are as follows:
Topic: Unlocking New Horizons in In-Vivo Small Animal Imaging
Date: 15th July 2026 (Wednesday)
Time: 2:00 pm
Venue: Y716
Live System Demonstration
The demo unit of the imaging platform will be available at ULS in late July. Interested participants are welcome to bring their own animal models to test the demo unit. A separate email regarding the demo schedule will be sent out later. Please stay tuned!
