PELCO easiGlow Glow Discharge Cleaning System

The PELCO easiGlow Glow Discharge Cleaning System is a compact and easy-to-use standalone system for rapid cleaning of TEM grids and hydrophilization of TEM carbon support films, which tend to be hydrophobic. A glow discharge treatment with air would negatively charge a carbon film surface (i.e., making it hydrophilic), which allows aqueous solution to spread easily.

  • Vacuum control: Pirani gauge, ranging from atmospheric pressure to 0.01 mbar
  • Working vacuum range: 1.1 - 0.2 mbar
  • Operation modes: automatic (4 user programmable protocols), manual and diagnostic
