Equipment charging to begin on 1 May 2017

A charging system for equipment usage will be implemented from 1 May 2017. Please refer to the ULS Charging Scheme and Section 7 of the ULS General User Policy for details.

The ULS General User Policy is available for download. Users and supervisors are required to abide to the regulations set out herein.

Penalty for booking cancellation within 24 hours

Please be advised that online bookings cannot be modified or cancelled within 24 hours prior to the beginning of a booked session. Requests for changes and cancellations within the 24-hour time window shall be made to the equipment-in-charge and might be subject to a penalty equivalent to 50% of the rate of the whole session.

Smartcard lock system for phase 1 equipment

Users of phase 1 equipment are reminded to wave their PolyU staff/student card to sign in and out for a booked session from 5 April, 2017 onward. Please contact the ULS if you encounter any problem with the card lock system.

Launch of the online booking system (phase 1)

The following phase 1 equipment will be available for online booking from 1 April, 2017: Bruker AmaZon Speed ESI-ion Trap-ETD Mass Spectrometer Bruker UltrafleXtreme MALDI-TOF-TOF Mass Spectrometer Agilent 6460 Liquid Chromatography – Electrospray Ionisation Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer Agilent 6540 Liquid Chromatography – Electrospray Ionisation Quadrupole-Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer Leica TCS SP8 MP Multiphoton Microscope Leica TCS SPE Confocal Microscope BD FACSAria III Cell Sorter BD Accuri C6 Flow Cytometer Registered users may access the ULS online booking system from 27 March, 2017 to book for these equipment from 1 April, 2017.
