Huygens Professional is a powerful image processing and analysis platform widely used in microscopy. It is specifically designed for the deconvolution, restoration, and visualization of complex, multi-dimensional fluorescence microscopy images, including confocal, STED, and widefield datasets. Its advanced algorithms significantly enhance image resolution and contrast, enabling researchers to obtain more accurate and quantitative information from their data. Notably, the Huygens MLE algorithms conserve intensity values, ensuring that deconvolution results remain quantifiable. Furthermore, the deconvolved images are much easier to analyze compared to the raw data.

Major features of Huygens Professional include:

  • Increase the resolution in X, Y and Z: 1.5 to 3 times, increase the contrast/max signals 5-20 times
  • Removes the noise, corrects background efficiently
  • Automatic bleaching effects correction
  • Automatic deconvolution of Time Series
  • Automatic correction for Spherical Aberration
  • Automated deconvolution via Workflow Processor
  • Automatic Z-drift correction
  • Improve the object aspect ratio
  • Deconvolution wizard guides you through (multi) -channel deconvolution
  • Simulation of microscopic image formation.
  • Experimental distillation and theoretical calculation of Point Spread Functions
