2023 Academy of Management Organizational Behavior Division Awards Finalists

Dr Fenghao Andrew WANG, our PhD alumnus, has been selected as a finalist for the Organizational Behavior Division 2023 Academy of Management Meeting Best Dissertation-Based Paper Award with his paper titled "The Consequences of Within-Team Social Hierarchy: Power vs. Status Matters". This award recognizes the empirical and/or conceptual paper based on the author or first author’s dissertation, which offers the most significant contribution to the field of organizational behavior. Ms Wei WU, our PhD student, has been selected as a finalist for the Organizational Behavior Division 2023 Academy of Management Meeting Outstanding Practical Implications for Management Paper Award with her paper titled "Are Job Rotation Programs Worth the Effort? How Job Rotation Influences Newcomers’ Adaptation Processes". This award recognizes the paper that has the best practical implications for management.

2022 JAMS Sheth Foundation Best Paper Award

Dr Fine Fanni LEUNG and Dr Fang Flora GU's article titled “Online Influencer Marketing” (published in March 2022) has won the Sheth Foundation Best Paper Award for Volume 50 (2022) of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. It was chosen for the award by a vote of the members of the Editorial Review Board, after the Area Editors selected a shortlist of the top 10 papers published in 2022. They collaborated with Prof. Robert PALMATIER from University of Washington, former Editor of Journal of Marketing and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, on this paper. It is a conceptual piece that sets the theoretical foundation of online influencer marketing, a hot topic in both research and practice, and has been well cited with 110+ Google Scholar citations.   Reference: https://www.springer.com/journal/11747/updates/25449148

It advocates an integrated approach to the advancement of research, executive training and management consulting.
