Dr Hang-Jun Cho is an assistant professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D in Management from INSEAD, with the focus of strategic management and entrepreneurship. His research explores how firms can strategically manage the collaboration dynamics among employees, with the lens of corporate governance, organizational design, and social networks. His research also examines how startup firms can utilize strategic change processes to achieve superior creative and innovative performance. His research encompasses various contexts and large-scale big data, such as the global high-end fashion industry, the sports industry (National Basketball Association), and e-commerce startups. Dr Cho’s doctoral dissertation was recognized as a finalist for the Louis Pondy Best Dissertation Paper Award in the Organization and Management Theory Division of the Academy of Management. Prior to his academic career, he founded a social enterprise in South Korea.
