In response to the pressing need for actionable initiatives to promote workplace diversity and inclusion, the Diversity and Entrepreneurship Symposium, jointly hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Department of Management and Marketing and the Centre for Leadership and Innovation on March 6th, 2024, successfully brought together academic researchers and industry experts for an afternoon of meaningful dialogue. Welcome remarks were delivered by Professor Wu Liu (Head and Professor of the Department of Management and Marketing) and Professor Krishna Savani (Director of the Centre for Leadership and Innovation, followed by six individual talks and a stimulating panel discussion involving PolyU MM scholars and industry experts from MTR, Lalamove, Click Ventures, and Gender Empowerment. Through dialogue between researchers and practitioners, the symposium facilitated a timely exchange of ideas on diversity issues and potential solutions. We extend our deep gratitude to all speakers and attendees for their enthusiasm and support in making this symposium a success.
