Biography

Prof. Zhu Ling is Professor at the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies of the PolyU. Prof. Zhu is specialised in maritime law. Her research interest covers the established topics including shipping law, multimodal transport law and marine pollution law, as well as several cutting-edge topics including the unmanned/autonomous shipping, and blockchain technology and electronic bills of lading. Prof. Zhu has attracted research funding from a number of organisations including the Research Grants Council (RGC), Policy Innovation and Co-ordination Office (PICO) and Central Policy Unit (CPU) of the Hong Kong SAR. She has also published extensively in her research areas and her work appears in Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, The Journal of Business Law, Ocean Development and International Law, Marine Policy, and many others. Prof. Zhu obtained her PhD (Law, magna cum laude) at the University of Hamburg, Germany, her LLM at the University of Southampton, UK, and her LLB at the Hunan Normal University, China.
