On 18 March, the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS) and the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) jointly organised a career talk for students in the BBA (Hons) in Aviation Management and Finance (offered by LMS) and the BSc (Hons) in Aviation Operations and Systems (offered by ISE).
The event began with welcoming remarks from Prof. Fu Xiaowen, Head of ISE, and Prof. Anthony Pang, Associate Head of LMS. The career talk session served as an engaging platform for students to gain insights into the rapidly evolving aviation industry from industry experts. The speakers shared their perspectives on current trends, potential career paths, and the skills essential for success in aviation management and operations.
Participants also had the opportunity to network with industry professionals and academic leaders, including Prof. Jiang Changmin, BBA-AMF Programme Leader; Dr Patrick Tsang, BBA-AMF Deputy Programme Leader; Prof. Min Xu, BSc-AOS Programme Leader; Prof. Kun Wang, BSc-AOS Deputy Programme Leader; and Mr Paul Wu, ISE Career Advisor, supported by LMS’s BBA-AMF Student Ambassadors Ms Candy Fung and Ms Isma Anggita Rana. This session helped connect academic learning with industry practice and offered students a clearer pathway for career development.
