PolyU’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Degree Programme in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development is the first of its kind offered by Hong Kong institutions, with emphasis on both environmental engineering, including transportation engineering, and sustainable development. Environmental engineering degree typically starts with a look at basic engineering principles and how they relate to the environment. PolyU’s School of Nursing offered the first full-time Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing in 1990. For the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mental Health Nursing, this programme builds upon the successful experience of conducting the psychiatric stream of the part-time Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing programme which was accredited by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. The School pioneered Hong Kong's higher education programmes in nursing. Its vision is to become the leading school of its kind, offering preferred programmes and producing high calibre graduates in nursing.

Earn a speech therapist master’s degree at PolyU to start a career in speech therapy

The Master of Speech Therapy programme at PolyU is the first full-time postgraduate programme offered by a recognized university in Hong Kong, which enables individuals to become speech therapists via a Master’s degree programme. It aims to equip students with the professional knowledge and skills which can meet the needs of the society. The curriculum is designed to meet locally and internationally recognised standards with a good mix of traditional lectures, Problem Based Learning (PBL) tutorials and clinical practice. Graduates are prepared to practice as speech therapists after degree programme completion of the Master of Speech Therapy programme.
