Aims & Characteristics

At PolyU, innovation and technology drive an academic environment that fosters national pride, social responsibility, and a global mindset. Our Bachelor's Degree Scheme gives you the time and flexibility to explore various fields, helping you make informed decisions about your preferred programme.

This Bachelor's Degree Scheme is an admission pathway offered and operated at the Faculty level alongside our existing departmental level BBA Schemes offered across our three departments. It provides students with foundational knowledge through a broad one-year curriculum that covers core business functions.

The Faculty-level Bachelor's Degree Scheme offers students maximum flexibility to develop individual study paths that match their interests, aspirations, and learning needs. Students will take a range of subjects in their first year of study before making a decision on the appropriate BBA Major across our three departments.

Student Message

It’s a strange and wonderful feeling when a long-held dream becomes not just a distant hope, but a path you’re actively walking. I always imagined myself at the centre of the business world, but when I joined PolyU as a Business Administration student, I didn't expect to be immersed in real-world experiences from day one.

PolyU has consistently pushed me to step beyond my comfort zone. This journey isn’t only about overcoming setbacks; it’s about discovering my own strengths, limits and potential. Meeting peers from different majors and professors who encourage us to speak up changed my perspective. I began to see problems not as failures, but as challenges waiting to be solved.

MUMTAZ Faiz Muhammad

I chose PolyU's Business Administration programme to discover where my strengths and passions truly lie. The curriculum allows undergraduates to explore different disciplines before committing to a major. In my first year, I had many opportunities to engage with logistics, economics, and finance, which helped me gain a clearer sense of how I want to shape my career.

In this dynamic environment, I’ve also benefited from working with peers who bring diverse perspectives to our discussions and projects. The programme has been truly beneficial in my personal growth and for building a strong foundation for future professional development.

NGUYEN Phuong Ngoc

Although I’m only a first-year student, my PolyU education has already been meaningful and practical. The FB Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Business Administration gives students the flexibility to explore different subjects and careers before choosing a major. This has helped me better understand my own skills and passions, and how to use them to build a fulfilling career.

The programme also emphasises innovation and adaptability, essential qualities in today's constantly evolving business environment. Finally, being a PolyU FB student has helped me secure internships where I can develop new skills and apply what I’ve learned in class.

BARRAMEDA Eve Bianca Ysabelle

When I entered university, I hadn’t yet explored different business fields deeply enough to choose where to specialise. That’s why I selected the Business Administration Programme at PolyU, which lets students explore different disciplines before making an informed choice. Through practical exposure to accounting, marketing, logistics and management, I gained insight into real career paths and discovered my strengths. As an international student, I especially valued learning from industry professionals and collaborating on projects, experiences that helped me adapt quickly and grow both academically and personally.

LAPINA Yuliia

Why choose Business Administration at PolyU? At first, I worried that the programme might be too broad, but I quickly realised it equips students with a holistic business mindset. We learn marketing strategies to understand customer needs, financial analysis to evaluate a company's performance, and organisational behaviour to lead teams effectively. The courses also strengthen teamwork, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Beyond academics, PolyU offers a vibrant campus life with student societies, professional lectures, and a wide range of activities. With supportive teachers and a welcoming environment, the Faculty of Business is more than a place to study; it’s a platform for becoming the person you aspire to be.

Li Yuen Yee

In high school, I discovered my passion for solving problems and working with people. Choosing Business Administration at PolyU has been one of my best decisions, as it lets me continue developing these skills while keeping my career options open. The programme’s flexibility means I can later choose a specialisation: in Accounting and Finance, Marketing Management, or Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This flexibility is a huge advantage, and with approachable professors and a supportive environment, I feel well supported academically.

Campus life has been equally rewarding, with diverse classmates, collaborative projects, and cultural events that enrich my personal growth. PolyU has given me the opportunity to grow both academically and personally.
