We offer a wide range of scholarships for undergraduate students
In order to honour the academic and non-academic excellence of our prospective undergraduate students, a wide range of scholarships are provided to both local and non-local students. To broaden students' professional knowledge and widen their personal horizons, special subsidies are also provided for overseas exchange.
PolyU has always attached great importance to holistic education and strives to nurture students’ global outlook. Starting from the 2025/26 academic year, an additional HK$30,000 overseas exchange funding will be offered to all undergraduate students who receive the academic Entry Scholarship, enabling them to participate in non-local learning activities through the Work-Integrated Education programme, Service-Learning projects, exchanges, field trips and other programmes. The University aspires to provide opportunities for all undergraduates to engage in at least one non-local learning experience by the 2027/28 academic year.
Local Undergraduate
All outstanding local admittees^ to our full-time undergraduate programmes will be considered for academic or non-academic scholarships.
Non-Local Undergraduate
PolyU welcomes the best and brightest non-local students each year and rewards excellence with a number of merit-based scholarships.
How can I apply for an Entry Scholarship?
Application is not required. The awarded students will be informed separately.
Notes:
^ (1) Local admittees are students who do not require a student visa to study in Hong Kong. (2) A student can concurrently hold more than one scholarship administered by the University in an academic year if the total value of scholarships received by him/her does not exceed his/her annual tuition fee payable plus an allowance of HK$50,000 unless otherwise stipulated. (3) PolyU reserves the right to change the terms or withdraw the scholarships. In case of any dispute/disagreement, the University’s decision is final.
