Background:
The School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme (SNDAS), proposed by the Task Force on Review of School Curriculum set up by the Education Bureau (EDB), aims at recognising the exceptional talent of students in specific disciplines that may not be fully assessed by the HKDSE Examination. It will provide opportunities for these students to be considered for direct admission to local universities.

Important Notes:
- Under SNDAS, each local secondary school will have a quota of two nominations, and each student nominee can apply for admission to one participating scheme / programme.
- Only local students pursuing the local secondary curriculum and taking the HKDSE will be eligible for nomination under SNDAS. SNDAS nominees must be JUPAS applicants.
- Secondary school principals are invited to submit their nominations to PolyU via an online system between 5 October and 6 December 2023. Nominations will only be valid after verified by EDB.
- SNDAS nominees should keep their PolyU scheme / programme choice in Band A (i.e. first 3 priority) throughout the application process.
- SNDAS nominees will be invited to submit an online application to PolyU via eAdmission with necessary documents in January upon the nominations are confirmed by EDB. Application fee will be waived.
- SNDAS nominees have to provide official documents (with letter head and school chop) of 1. School predicted HKDSE grades, 2. S5 and S6 (first term) School academic reports with class ranking, and 3. Awarding Certificates of the non-academic achievement.
- Eligible SNDAS nominees will be invited to attend an interview to be held in February - March 2024.
- Offers will be issued to suitable SNDAS nominees tentatively on 21 June 2024.
- PolyU will inform the JUPAS Office to cancel the JUPAS application of nominees who have accepted the SNDAS offer of PolyU.
- SNDAS nominees without PolyU offer, or have declined PolyU offer, will continue be considered under the JUPAS admission route.
- Students nominated under School Principal’s Nominations Scheme under JUPAS or Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme will not be eligible for SNDAS, and vice versa.
