It’s a strange and wonderful feeling when a long-held dream becomes not just a distant hope, but a path you’re actively walking. I always imagined myself being at the centre of the business world, but when I joined PolyU as a Business Administration student, I didn't expect to be immersed in real-world experiences from day one.

PolyU has successfully pushed me to step beyond my comfort zone. This experience isn’t only about navigating setbacks, it’s about discovering my own strengths, limits and potential. In my first year, I had opportunities to engage with logistics, economics, and finance, which gave me a clearer idea of how I wanted to develop my future career. In this dynamic environment, I’ve also learned from peers who bring diverse perspectives to our discussions and projects. Their insights have broadened my thinking and helped me grow both academically and personally. Although I’m only a first-year student, my PolyU education has already been both meaningful and practical. The FB Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Business Administration gives students the flexibility to explore different subjects and careers before choosing a major. This freedom has helped me better understand my own strengths and passions, and how to use them to build a fulfilling career. The programme also emphasises innovation and adaptability in a constantly evolving business environment. 

Being a PolyU FB student has also opened doors to valuable internship opportunities, where I’ve been able to develop new skills and apply what I’ve learned in class.

When I entered university, I hadn’t yet explored different business fields deeply enough to choose a specialisation. Through practical exposure to accounting, marketing, logistics and management, I gained insight into real career paths and discovered my strengths.

In high school, I discovered my passion for solving problems and working with people. Choosing Business Administration at PolyU has been one of my best decisions, as it lets me continue developing these skills while keeping my career options open. The programme’s flexibility means I can later specialise in Accounting and Finance, Marketing Management, or Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This flexibility is a huge advantage, and with approachable professors and a supportive learning environment, I feel well supported academically.

Campus life has been equally rewarding, with diverse classmates, collaborative projects, and cultural events that have enriched my personal growth. PolyU has allowed me to grow both academically and personally, shaping me into a more confident and well‑rounded individual.
