The Department of Applied Mathematics (AMA) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is proud to announce significant advancements in the newly released ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2026.

Demonstrating outstanding academic excellence and research impact, PolyU has achieved impressive progress across both mathematical and statistical disciplines:

  • Mathematics: Ranked 76–100 globally and No. 1 in Hong Kong for the 2nd consecutive year (climbing from 101–150 in 2025)
  • Statistics: Ranked 101–150 globally (up from 151–200 in 2025)
