Research Overview

I am an applied linguist and international educator with a research agenda situated at the intersection of language pedagogy, sociolinguistics, and language policy. My research consists of three primary strands. The first strand focuses on Second Language Pedagogy and Assessment, particularly within the context of high-stakes testing. My second strand of inquiry investigates International Education and Teacher Development. My third strand centers on Language Policy and Cultural Dissemination. My methodological approach is diverse, employing quasi-experimental designs, case study methodologies, and mixed-methods research to investigate the complexity of intercultural communication and language learning.
