Summary
Second language acquisition and the acquisition of multiple languages in varied social contexts continues to be a focus of research in linguistics and beyond. In this symposium we will explore this area considering the interaction between language acquisition and factors as varied as cognition, brain adaptations, heritage languages, cross-linguistic influences and individual differences. This is a good opportunity to hear a group of talks arising from the research programme pioneered by Prof. Jason Rothman and to ask him and his co-researchers questions related to their work.
