On 6 April 2024, the PolyU English Debate Club (EDC) proudly held the first‑ever Intra‑Techno Debating Cup, marking a major milestone for the club and the university’s debating community.

The tournament drew enthusiastic participation from students across faculties, featuring a mix of first‑time debaters and seasoned speakers who delivered sharp, thought‑provoking arguments throughout the rounds. Under the Asian Parliamentary format, participants debated diverse motions, showcasing creativity, quick thinking, and team synergy.

A panel of experienced judges offered detailed, constructive feedback that helped participants refine their argumentative structure, delivery, and strategic engagement — turning the tournament into a true learning‑through‑competition experience.
