Rob Law is the University of Macau Development Foundation Chair Professor of Smart Tourism. Prior to joining the University of Macau in July 2021, he held positions in industry and academic institutions.

Rob is a leading scholar in tourism and hospitality research. As of July 1, 2026, examples of his impactful scholarly activities include:

• Received more than 140 awards and accolades (e.g., recognized as the world's most prolific researcher in tourism and hospitality over multiple decades — International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management 2021 and Tourism Review 2026).
• Secured several million USD in external and internal research grants.
• Edited four books and published 1,000+ research articles (including several hundred papers in first-tier academic journals).

• Had his publications cited in 120+ policy documents worldwide.
