Research Overview

My research is on mobility studies as a framework for understanding English literacy education as a transnational phenomenon. Mobility research, or mobilities, calls into question claims to stability (of identities, knowledge, people, places, etc.) and considers the interests and power relations supporting such claims. This leads me to make inquiries into language commodification, political economy, and connections between national histories, educational policy, and literacy-related scholarship.
