Summary

Sustainability means the ability to maintain, support, or continue a process, system, or state over a long period of time (from AI). In running, sustainability may be referring to endurance and pacing. My recent experience in Camino Portuguese from Lisbon (Portugal) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) of 633km and a trail race named Val d’Aran by UTMB of 110km inspired me that the power of sustainability means more. I feel more “comfortable” in the process while achieving better results. Furthermore, it is not only about running but also can be applied to personal life, career development and more.

Dr Andes Leung, Co-founder and CEO of "RunOurCity", a social enterprise aims to transform life through the promotion of street-running. The signature youth projects include "Youth.ROC", “Youth.ONE”, “Youth.ALL” for over 16,000 teenagers to strengthen their confidence and perseverance. Newly collaborating with Hong Kong Jockey Club, he created the CITY Runners program, trained over 15,000 runners and established 30 running groups in 18-districts in Hong Kong. Dr Leung has been the head of sales in a public listed company, managing over 200 subordinates. His experience included fast moving consumer goods, retail brands, toys, advertising, etc. He was Adjunct Associate Professor in Hong Kong Baptist University. He is actively involved in various public talks and sharing his commercial, social entrepreneurial and running experience. He is a writer - published “12 Marathon in 7 Continents” and “12 Marathons for Happiness”. He is a columnist in am730 and Recruit Magazine.
