Our Bachelor's Degree Scheme provides one entry in application for a choice of 4 Majors, offering students the time and flexibility to explore these disciplinary fields and navigate their academic interests.
The Bachelor's Degree Scheme in Humanities offers students the time and flexibility to explore various fields offered by the Faculty of Humanities. In Year One, which is common to all four Majors, students can get a taste of the subjects offered before enrolling in one of the Majors, as follows:
- BA (Hons) in Chinese History and Culture (JS3320)
- BA (Hons) in English and Applied Linguistics (JS3240)
- BSc (Hons) in Language Science and Technology (JS3243) (Subject to approval)
- BSc (Hons) in Speech Therapy (JS3242)

All admitted students will embark on a Common Year One curriculum. Towards the end of year one, students can secure entry into one of the four Majors, which are offered by the Department of Chinese History and Culture (CHC), Department of English and Communication (ENGL), and Department of Language Science and Technology (LST), through a ranking assessment based on a combination of entrance qualification score, Year One GPA, and interview performance.

Some of our programmes offer the opportunity to pursue a Secondary Major (Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA)), allowing our students to further broaden their academic and career horizons.
The option of a Secondary Major in AI and Data Analytics is available to students on the BSc (Hons) in Language Science and Technology (subject to approval), and BA (Hons) in English and Applied Linguistics.

There is no compulsory subject requirement. Preferred subject(s) with the highest weighting for admission score calculation include(s):
2025/26 Average Score: Any Best 5 Subjects (plus an additional bonus score for the 6th subject with Level 3 or above) (with Subject Weighting) = 185.5
