The Non-local Student Services Team provides non-local students with student-centred support services throughout their studies at PolyU. They offer a wide variety of programmes and activities to enrich students' educational experience at PolyU and Hong Kong. Students may find important points to note prior to arrival, as well as immigration regulations concerning their stay in Hong Kong under the section of Non-local Student Services in the Student Resources and Support website.

Orientation Programme

A series of Orientation Programmes are organised to enable non-local freshman to adapt holistically to PolyU and Hong Kong. This includes Info Sessions and activities to orient students to campus and build relationships with other students.

Host Family Scheme

Each successful applicant of this program will be matched with a staff member, alumnus/alumna, or PolyU-recognised professional to serve as a host parent. The host parents and their family will provide care and support to help students adapt to life in Hong Kong. By participating in activities organised by the host family, students can deepen their understanding of local culture, customs, and values. Please note that the host family will NOT provide accommodation for students.
