Biography

Dr. Jinyan Chen is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining the school, she obtained her Ph.D. degree at Griffith University, Australia. Dr. Chen also worked as a research fellow in the Big Data and Smart Analytics Lab at Griffith University, where she coordinated and conducted data analysis that relies on social media data for different projects.

Her main research interests include understanding tourist mobility, modeling tourist travel patterns, sentiment analysis, and network analysis, relying on social media and big data analytics.
