Are you simply moving your old Blackboard folders into Canvas? Don't waste this opportunity to hit the "reset" button. This self-paced online course is designed to help you transition from Blackboard to Canvas by focusing on pedagogy first. You will move beyond treating your LMS as a static repository for PowerPoints and PDFs, instead transforming it into a vibrant, active learning hub.
Through a series of practical modules, you will apply the 4 C's Framework (Clarity, Communication, Content Flow, and Collaboration) to reduce student cognitive load and humanise the digital learning experience. You will learn how to structure your Canvas modules to guide students seamlessly through a learning journey, rather than leaving them to dig through a digital filing cabinet. To make this transition creative and efficient, you will also integrate Google Gemini as your personal design partner.
By the end of this course, you will have redesigned a module of your own Canvas course with a clear, pedagogy-first blueprint ready for implementation.

Assessment & Certification Criteria: To support and validate your learning journey, this course includes four quizzes. A Certificate of Course Completion will be awarded to participants who complete all four quizzes and achieve a score of 50% or above on every quiz.
