  • Students taking major in SHTM degree programme are not allowed to take minor in SHTM.
  • Students are required to complete 2 compulsory subjects (6 credits) and 4 elective subjects (12 credits) before they are eligible for a Minor in Hotel Management.
  • Students must complete at least 9 credits of subjects of level 3 or above.

Aims and Characteristics

  • To introduce students to the exciting world of Hotel and Tourism Management.
  • To prepare students with the professional knowledge and skills to kick-start their career in the dynamic global industry of hospitality, tourism and events.

On successfully completing the Minor programme, students will be able to:

  • Get a good understanding of the knowledge and complexities of the world of hospitality, tourism and events.
  • Apply and use the knowledge in the hospitality, tourism and events and the broader service industries.
