Biography
Dr. Mahlagha Darvishmotevali is a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she has worked since August 2021. Previously, she was an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Tourism at Near East University (NEU). She earned her doctoral degree in Tourism Management from the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in Northern Cyprus, where she also served as a Research Assistant.
Dr. Darvish’s research focuses on employees’ psychology and organizational behavior, with an emphasis on job insecurity, psychological well-being, and human intelligence in the tourism and hospitality sectors. Her work also addresses uncertainty and agility in organizational settings, exploring how businesses can adapt to rapidly changing environments while supporting employee resilience. She is particularly interested in how organizations can support employees in AI-driven workplaces, leveraging hybrid intelligence to foster adaptability and innovation.
Additionally, Dr. Darvish is an advocate for green well-being and strategic green management, integrating sustainable practices into competitive strategies for the tourism and hospitality sectors. She is passionate about mentoring students and collaborating with global researchers to advance knowledge in employee behavior, sustainability, and future workplace innovations.
