Professor Billy Bai is Associate Dean (Academic Affairs) at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Previously, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), he served as Department Chair (2023–2025), Associate Dean (2015–2023), Senior Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (2013–2015), and Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the UNLV Singapore campus (2011–2013). His research work has appeared in top-tier journals in hospitality and tourism. He is a recipient of many research awards including the John Wiley & Sons Lifetime Research Achievement Award from I-CHRIE. From workshops to panel discussions to keynote speeches to program reviews for hospitality and tourism organizations, he actively contributes to the hospitality and tourism profession.
