In Memory of Dr Allen Lee Peng-fei, Former Council Chairman of PolyU (1940 - 2020)

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) expresses deep sadness over the passing of Dr Allen Lee Peng-fei.

A respected and influential leader, Dr Lee not only made significant contributions to the development of Hong Kong society, but also enthusiastically participated in public duties, serving the community for many years. At PolyU, he served as our Council Chairman from 1987 to 1988, and Court Member from 1995 to 2020, providing long-standing support and valuable counsel for the advancement of our University and the higher education sector as a whole.

In recognition of his staunch support for our University and his distinguished contributions to the community, PolyU conferred the degree of Doctor of Engineering honoris causa on Dr Lee in 1990. The legacy Dr Lee left behind is profound, and PolyU will benefit from it for the years to come.
