Dr Anjo LU obtained her bachelor’s degree in preventive medicine from the School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University. She further received her PhD and postdoctoral training in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics (Geriatrics) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr Lu’s research interests include physical function, frailty and sarcopenia, and cognitive impairment of the ageing population. With the goal to help people maintain functional independence at older ages, her research focus primarily lies in leveraging wearable technology in predicting and monitoring age-related health outcomes. Using data from ongoing large-cohort studies, she has conducted epidemiological investigations on the potential role of accelerometer-measured physical activity, sedentary behavior, and 24-hour circadian rhythm in predicting falls, cognitive impairment, and mortality in older people living in the community.

Dr. Lu is currently recruiting PhD students who are interested in healthy ageing and digital health research. If you are interested, please kindly send your CV to her through email for further discussion.
