This year, we have been trying our best to reach out to employers / partners who are willing to provide physical internship opportunities and in case of a surge in COVID-19 cases before departure, virtual internship opportunities. Once you have accepted an employer’s offer and obtained your Department’s endorsement, you will not have to worry about the pandemic hindering your WIE plan.

To ensure an impactful WIE experience and maximise your learning gains, CPS also provides CV reviews, mock interviews, and pre-departure training.

Eligibility:

  • Year 2 or above, UGC-funded, full-time undergraduates
  • Aged 18 or above with valid travel document
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to meet the entry requirements of the internship destinations*
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills
  • Highly independent, proactive, and culturally sensitive

*Subject to the respective entry requirements of the internship destinations

 

Students applying for outbound internships are required to take selection tests given by CPS, SAO between November 2021 and February 2022. Only shortlisted candidates will be nominated to respective employers / partners from November 2021 to April 2022. WIE programme leaders of CPS will further discuss with you in April 2022 as to whether your International WIE programme will proceed as scheduled or you will have to work with an assigned employer virtually, subject to the COVID-19 situations and border restrictions of the target location.

For students opting for virtual international internship programmes organised by external bodies only, please refer to the information below for reference and consideration. Interested students should submit direct application to external organisations.
