Career Fairs

CPS organises career fairs to let students have a better picture of the job and internship opportunities available in the market. The fairs also provide valuable opportunities for students to connect with potential employers, which will help them in their job search. Know more about our fairs and events.

Themed “Exploring Career Horizons: Pathways to Possibilities”, the PolyU Career Fair 2024 highlights the diverse paths that students can take to achieve a successful and fulfilling career. In the presence of various guests of honour, the Fair’s opening ceremony was officiated by Prof. Ben Young, PolyU’s Vice President (Student and Global Affairs), and tokens of appreciation were presented to long-term employers as well as diversity and inclusion supporters.

 

The 4-day Fair was successfully held from 19 to 22 March, with over 300 employers from different sectors participating in the Fair and more than 1,000 job openings offered for PolyU students. Apart from physical booths, the Fair also featured Themed Talks, MBTI® Workshops, Online Career Talks, CV Clinics, AI CV Clinics, as well as the Free CV Photo Taking Service. These activities aimed to encourage students to explore a wide range of career options, provide them with a platform to broaden their horizons, and receive support for navigating their future careers.

Themed “Connecting with Employers to Nurture Future Talents”, the Hybrid PolyU Career Fair 2023 highlights PolyU’s robust partnership with industries that nurtures future leaders for society.

The physical Fair was held successfully from 31 October to 3 November on PolyU campus and the virtual one from 31 October to 30 November 2023. Apart from over 1,200 job openings provided by more than 200 employers from different sectors and industries, the Fair also featured over 20 career talks and MBTI® Webinars, which not only enabled students to gain industry insights and career information from organisations, but also assisted students in analysing their personalities, enabling them to make more informed career decisions.

Themed “Connecting with Employers to Nurture Future Talents”, the Hybrid PolyU Career Fair 2023 highlights PolyU’s robust partnership with industries that nurtures future leaders for society. In the presence of various guests of honour, the Fair’s opening ceremony was officiated by Prof. Ben Young, PolyU’s Vice President (Student and Global Affairs), and tokens of appreciation were presented to long-term employers as well as diversity and inclusion supporters.

The physical Fair was held successfully from 28 to 31 March on PolyU campus and the virtual one from 28 March to 30 April. Apart from around 1,200 job openings provided by nearly 280 employers from different sectors and industries, the Fair also featured over 30 career talks and senior executive sharing sessions, which enabled students to gain industry insights and career information from organisations including the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Over 40 career advice sessions were also conducted to help students optimise their job hunt strategies and CVs.

PolyU’s first Hybrid Career Fair took place in November 2022, with its physical fair held on 1 November at FJ, FG, and FC Wings on campus, and its virtual one between 1 and 25 November.With the theme of “Opportunities. Careers. Success”, the Fair served as a one-stop platform for students to explore graduate job and internship opportunities, kick-start their careers, and move one step closer to their career success.A total of 221 employers from different industries and sectors participated in the four-day Fair, and around 6,500 job vacancies were provided for PolyU students’ application.

Apart from physical/virtual booths, the Fair also featured around 20 online career talks and senior executive sharing sessions where senior executives/human resources experts shared their professional insights into industry trends and career information, and around 50 career advising sessions were conducted to help students improve their CVs and job hunt strategies.

The third Virtual Career Fair was successfully held from 22 to 25 March 2022. It was a one-stop online platform connecting students with potential employers via a virtual environment and providing plenty of graduate job and internship opportunities for students’ applications. A total of 233 employers from over 10 industries and sectors participated in the four-day Fair, and around 6,500 job vacancies were provided.

The Fair also featured live chat sessions for students to interact with employers and get latest job information instantly. In addition, 48 online career talks were conducted by senior executives/human resources experts who shared their professional insights into different career-related aspects, including industry trends and career information. To help students optimise their CV and job-hunting strategies, around 60 online career advising sessions were arranged.

The second Virtual Career Fair was successfully held from 26 to 29 October 2021. It was a one-stop online platform connecting students with potential employers via a virtual environment and providing plenty of graduate job and internship opportunities for students’ applications. A total of 144 employers from over 10 industries and sectors participated in the four-day Fair, and around 4,500 job vacancies were provided.

The Fair also featured live chat sessions for students to interact with employers and get latest job information instantly. In addition, 46 online career talks were conducted by senior executives/human resources experts who shared their professional insights into different career-related aspects, including industry trends and career information. To help students optimise their CV and job-hunting strategies, around 60 online career advising sessions were arranged.

Successfully held from 30 March to 1 April 2021, the Virtual Career Fair 2021 was a one-stop online platform connecting students with potential employers via a virtual environment and providing plenty of graduate job and internship opportunities for students’ applications. A total of 121 employers from over 10 industries and sectors participated in the three-day Fair, and over 2,500 job opportunities were provided.

The Fair also featured career talks conducted by seasoned speakers/senior executives who shared their professional insights into different career-related aspects, including industry trends, interview tips, work ethics, and career planning. To help students optimise their CV and job-hunting strategies, around 60 online career advising sessions were arranged.
